What to do in Scilla:
Our tip: "otium!". Don’t get tired trying to have fun let the place cradle you.
For those looking for activities we provide a list, and not even exhaustive of what the B & B offers its guests with a timely and preventive organization:
Scilla is a small town and its seaside village - Chianalea - contains a few houses. The advantage is that almost all the major sights are within walking distance.
On one side the long beach of Marina Grande that in summer hosts beaches alternating with stretches of free beach. The beaches offer deck chairs, parasol and small catering served under the umbrella.
Ask us about the convenient agreements; keep in mind that the price of an umbrella and two sunbeds varies from € 10.00 to 30.00 throughout the day.

In the center the fortress of the Castle of Scilla that divides the beach of Marina Grande from the village of Chianalea. At the beginning of marina grande a lift can lead you directly to the square of San Rocco with its imposing belvedere. Often home to exhibitions and events. Magnificent place to admire the beauty of the strait from above.

On the other side the seaside village of Chianalea. Listed among "the most beautiful villages in Italy". Paradise of relaxation and scenic views. In front of the houses, built on the sea, a vast and shallow prairie of poseidon and rocks, ideal for snorkeling, and especially the best restaurants of Scylla. Many in the summer, mountain on the sea to allow you to enjoy a great lunch lulled by the spectacle of the sea.
The main attraction is definitely the sea. The currents of the strait that alternate every six hours create clear, warm waters and in its depths contains extraordinary shows and a biodiversity difficult to find; just think that here are the largest black coral prairies of the Mediterranean. The obligatory passage of many fishes is the place where, from April to July, the swordfish gather to reproduce. The local diving, excellent level, will guide you to discover fantastic diving, but you just need a mask to be fascinated; right in front of Chianalea vì is a vast prairie of poseidon with a continuous alternation of rocks and small ravines
A long beach, with alternating beaches and free areas, makes large marina the center of major beach attraction. The beaches offer beach umbrella and deck chairs for about € 10.00 per day. All have a bar service and small refreshment directly under the umbrella. There are also a series of small beaches, or beaches, coves, some reachable only from the sea, which, like Cala Janculla, represent small paradises.

Scilla, despite being a small village, has a vast territory that reaches the mountains. Here you can admire the karst caves of Tremusa, with vaults covered with fossil shells, or reach the Aspromonte Park.

Mountain - Aspromonte National Park: The organized activities are managed by the Official Park Guides. Little curiosity you know that in Aspromonte you ski looking at the sea ? The Park is an extremely varied territory that contains in addition to natural features a number of historic villages of considerable interest.Bird watching, hiking, archeo-cultural areas, Biking, Canyoning, Bike Park, horseback riding, climping, snowshoeing and much more. I hope you understand that it is better to visit the site of the Park - http://www.parcoaspromonte.gov.it/ - to know a little more, then to organize you will help the B&B without any surcharge.

a mere list seems antithetical with the idea of the title.
But culture speaks only to those who love it, study it or to those who with a free spirit naturally let themselves be fascinated. The resources are many and varied, all reachable in distances that do not exceed an hour by car or in many cases by local train.
Reggio Calabria with its promenade and the Archaeological Museum. The Riace Bronzes are the most famous but certainly not the most beautiful piece of the museum. Various other small museums and art galleries enrich the cultural offer.
Medieval village in the locride, magnificent cathedral but no less exciting the other dozens of churches, alleys and historic buildings

Archaeological parks of Locri and Taureana
Aspromonte villages, some keepers of the Ellophone language, rich in architecture layered over the centuries and shaped by nature.
Pentedattilo, a hilltop village perched among rocky spires that seems to revive ancient lifestyles.
